Coin Dangle Earrings

Here I have two different pairs of Coin Dangle Earrings; Copper and Antiqued Gold.  They make for a nice pair of earrings because they are a dressy casual earring.  Lots of fun to make too.

Car Pins

When I was making the Bee Pins I thought one of the bees looked more like the shape of a car, and I had a great idea, to make car pins.  So I gave it a try.  I thought the stripes and wings were hard on the bees, but these little tires took a lot of concentration.  It was a lot of fun.  Now I just need to find a great fabric for a pincushion :)

Window Pane Blanket

I have made this blanket a couple times and even though it is supposed to be a scrap blanket I just love these bright colors in this pattern, it makes me think of a stained glass window.

Football Earrings

I made little football beads so I could start supporting my favorite teams.  I made myself a pair of dangle earrings for my favorite team (Indianopolis Colts) which I wear on occasion.  Here I have shown BYU, U of U, and NFL Green Bay Packers.  The fun things about these is that you can't really tell they are football earrings at first, they are just dangle earrings and then on closer examination they are footballs.

Stuffed Horse - It's a Paint!

Here's the real horse.

I got asked if I could make a horse that looked like someone's real Paint.  So after studying some pictures, I gave it a try.  I LOVE IT!  It was so much fun to make, I love these little challenges.  I thought that the horse came out looking alot like the real one.

Bumble Bee Pins and Pincushions

I liked the Bumble Bee pins that I made before and decided they would be cutest with Bumble Bee Pincushions.  I made four different pincushions to compliment the Bees.  It's takes a little bit of time to put on those stripes and wings but they turn out so cute, it's well worth it.

Big Bird

BIG BIRD!!!!!!
After making Elmo and Cookie Monster, I wanted to try another character from Sesame Street.  Naturally the next step would be Big Bird.  I wanted to give him feathers so I ended up doing loops to make him look all feathery.  Jennsen thought it was pretty funny.

T-Shirt Quilt

One of my favorite things that I made with my mom was my T-Shirt Quilts.  These two are my Camp Quilt, made from shirts that I got from the 6 years at Girl's Camp, and then my Theatre Quilt that includes all the shirts from being in plays in Jr. High and High School.  I think there may be Choir and Orchestra shirts in there as well.  It's a great way to keep all those old t-shirts that you don't want to throw away because of the memories associated with them.  The back of my Theatre Quilt is Jeans.  I cut up all my old jeans that fell apart and created a back to them.  Then I got these quilts quilted by a proffesional.  The Theatre Quilt has the Drama masks quilted on it.  It's pretty cool :)

Loafers

I had made Mary Jane's for little girls, but after having my son I noticed how much baby stuff was geared toward little girls and not little boys.  How unfair is that?!  Why can't little boys have cool shoes too?!  So I decided to make loafers for baby boys.  I love these little shoes.  If you thought the Mary Jane's were cute, check these out.

Butterfly Pins

I love making these decorative sewing pins.  These ones are butterflies.  There are two kinds in this picture, pink butterflies with yellow wings or white butterflies with pink wings.  They turned out really cute and fun.

Flat Spiral Bracelet

These bracelets are so fun to make and surprisingly easier than they look. The different looks range from fun to elegant. You can use all different kinds of beads and colors. If you enjoy making jewelry you should try these out, here's a link to a youtube video that I think is really good. http://wwww.youtube.com/watch?v=oiB_PID3sC4&feature=relmfu.

Baby Giraffe

This was so much fun. Embroidering all the spots on the back were tedious but well worth it. I couldn't get his neck to stand up straight for the picture so he looks like he's lamenting to the sky. My daughter carries him around by the neck and then grabs his muzzle and gives him big kisses. So now me and her have to fight over who gets him :)

Embroidered Baby Blankets

I made this several years ago. The whole thing is made with individual squares of cats and dogs that have been embroidered. This was also my first attempt at hand quilting, it wasn't perfect but it was fun and a great learning experience. This was meant to be a blanket for a baby when I grew up, but by the time I had kids I just went ahead and made new ones for them individually.

Tiger

I love making these furry stuffed animals, it takes quite a long time to put on all that fur but it is worth it. They are so soft and fun. My nephew loved taking pictures with this tiger, he carried him around for quite awhile, even after we were done. The tiger is one of my favorites of the furry animals, the stripes are so fun to do.

Old Fashioned Leather Journal

I used to make homemade paper when I was younger (haven't done it in awhile), but I had all this fun paper and nothing to do with it, so I decided to make a journal. I love writing and I love to have journals around, especially interesting journals like one I have with a wood covering. Anyway I decided to make this one with leather, and between that and the homemade paper this journal looks like it came straight out of the past. I'm going to try to get up a tutorial soon on this one, because it is so fun to make.

Little Penguins

I made these originally in sets of four to be the madagascar penguins. They were different sizes to show the different characters of Skipper, Kowalski, Private and Rico. They've since been split up but that doesn't make them any less fun. It's amazing what you find out kids love and these penguins are the perfect little pocket pals.

Soft Blue Afghans

The title almost says it all. I love these blankets, they are so cuddly, soft. I have made them in other colors besides blue too, I just really like blue so there is a lot of it.

Owl Hat

My good friend Lisa asked me if I can figure out an owl hat, so I went ahead and tried it. It turned out to be one of the cutest hats I have made (at least I think so). So now I have these really fun hats.  I've made them in several different sizes too.  They have been a lot of fun.  Thank you Lisa for the suggestion! (Anyone else notice that Jennsen is liking being my model now)
