Samuel the Snake Tutorial

Here is the pattern for the Snake that you see below. You will need basic crochet skills to make Samuel. The stitches you will use are: Single Crochet, Chain, and Single Crochet Decrease. Enjoy!

Materials Needed: 6 ounces Worsted Weight Yarn, small amount of red yarn for tongue, 8mm black animal eyes, Size G Crochet hook, Stuffing.

Note: Do not join rounds, mark the beginning of each round with stitch marker if needed.

Abbreviations:
ch = Chain Stitch
sc = Single Crochet
st = Stitch
dec = Decrease

Samuel The Snake
Tongue: Ch 6, sc in 2nd ch from hook and in next 2 ch. Ch 3. Fasten off. Weave in ends.

Rnd 2: 2 sc in each sc around (12 sc)
Rnd 3: Reapeat Rnd 2 (24 sc)
Rnd 4: (Sc in next 4 sc, 2 sc in next sc) 4x, sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc (29 sc)
Rnd 5: (Sc in next 5 sc, 2 sc in next sc) 4x, sc in next 4 sc, 2 sc in next sc (34 sc)
Rnd 6: Sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc (sc in next 7 sc, 2 sc in next sc) 4x (39 sc)
Rnd 7: Sc in each sc around
Rnd 8-12: Repeat Rnd 7.
Rnd 13: (Sc in next 6 sc, dec over next 2 sc) 4x, sc in next 5 sc, dec over next 2 sc (34 sc)

Sew in Tongue to Rnd 1. Space eyes evenly on head. Stuff head.
Stuff body as you go.

Rattlesnake

I put a wire in this guy so that he was bendable too, so he is extra fun for little kids. My nephew loved playing with the snake especially since his tail really rattles too.

Green Apple Pin

These apple pins are just like the red ones. I just wanted to try them in a different color. So these are little Granny Smith apples. It makes them more fun in different pincushions.

My mom has some great sewing pins that she got from a friend that were little plastic flowers and I thought it would be so fun to have some different kinds of sewing pins. So after searching around on the internet I got the idea to make little apples. They are really detail oriented but are actually not that hard to make. Let me know if your interested in a tutorial.

Pincushions

I wanted to make some cute pincushions, mostly just for fun. But these were so easy and turned out really cute and you can make them in all sorts of different colors and patterns. They work really well too, I love using mine. Let me know if you want a tutorial.

Blessing Blanket with Flowers

I made this blanket a long time ago. It's meant to be a blessing/christening blanket. Each square is crocheted seperately and then sewn together. I used Red Heart Soft Yarn on this blanket and it made it so fluffy and soft but still held it's shape nicely.

On the MOOOOve!

Well folks, we're back and with a new and cuddly animal. This one was especially fun to make and as you can tell is anatomically correct (eek!) Anyways, if you would like the pattern check out deliciouscrochet.com.

Get It Mooooooving Amy!

So I realize that I don't post as often as I should, and I am going to try harder.
Here are some cows I made awhile back. They were a lot of fun!
They had almost sad looking eyes and looked like they were grazing in a pasture.

They even had udders! They were the most painful part to make because they were so small but the look afterward was so funny and cute, it was totally worth it.

I made the bell around their necks detachable, because I thought they were more fun that way. They looked cute with or without them.

Merry Christmas Emma

I made my niece a poodle for Christmas. I saw this pattern awhile back and it made me think of her. The flowers that you see in her "fur" are clips so that Emma could dress up her dog and herself (and probably her little sister). This dog was a lot of fun to make because of the pom-poms on the legs and stuff like that.
Emma was very excited to have it which always makes the time worth while.

Watch Bands

These watch bands are really popular right now, and I've been looking at all the different designs. So I said to myself, I could make those. So that has been my new project. Here are a few that I have tried. I have lots of different designs.

They are a lot of fun to make.

Headbands

I started making these when my sister showed me one and I thought it was so cute. I was never one that liked the HUGE flowers on teeny babies heads, and I think that's why these appealed to me, because of how small and understated they are.

This one is the biggest that I made, but I think it's pretty cute. These others are much smaller.

They are so perfect for newborns but they also look great even on teenagers.

I've made them in all sorts of colors: Pink, light pink, white, purple, red, etc.

I love them.

Llama

I had so much fun making this llama. The fur is looped and looks really cool and makes it soft, of course I used a softer yarn too :)

The hat was also fun because it's removeable. I love making stuffed animals.

Boutique

I'm so excited to be a part of Terri's Blue Goose Boutique for their spring show. It took alot of work to get ready but I'm done and ready to go.

Here's my own little Cookie Monster. I got the idea to make these hats after I made an Elmo hat for my newphew "G".
